Undergraduate Student (4th-year)

Department of Chemical Techonology, Chulalongkorn University

Theeradej Sawatphon (Ken) is a third-year student in the Department of Chemical Technology, Faculty of Science at Chulalongkorn University, Thailand. With a strong interest in sustainability and carbon capture technology, Ken has participated in various competitions and research projects in these fields. Ken’s current senior project, “Living photosynthetic biocomposites with immobilized Chlorococcum sp. for CO2 recovery in used amine solutions,” under the supervision of Dr. Pichaya In-na, aims to explore the potential of using microalgae to regenerate amine solutions used for capturing CO2 from industrial sectors. Right now, he is planning to have a research exchange at Nagoya University in June-July 2023 to further expand his knowledge and skills in plasma-related research. He is particularly interested in exploring the application of the Solution Plasma Process (SPP) in synthesizing porous carbon and its potential in carbon capture technology.
