NIAB Lab on Stage “MMS Networking 2023”

On 7th July 2023, Chulalongkorn University and the BCGeTEC Center jointly organized the 2nd MMS Networking event with the theme “Empowering Chulalongkorn Scholars for Advancements in Algal Biotechnology.” The event was spearheaded by Associate Professor Dr. Kassidit Nuthong, a committee member of BCGeTEC, and featured esteemed guest speakers including Associate Professor Dr. Thanakorn Manchupanee from the Biochemistry Department and our Pricipal Investigator, Dr. Pichaya Inna from NIAB Lab at Chemical Technology Department, both belonging to the Faculty of Science. The venue for this event was True Lab @ Chula Engineering, located in Building 3 of the Faculty of Engineering.

MMS Networking serves as a platform for fostering connections and research partnerships, encouraging interactive discussions on shared research interests. The primary objective is to explore opportunities for establishing fruitful relationships that can lead to future collaborations.

During this edition, the focus centered on facilitating the exchange of insights and ideas on algae research, encompassing various aspects ranging from upstream activities like algae strain development to midstream processes such as cultivation and scaling up production, and extending to downstream applications like extracting vital substances from algae for practical use. The event garnered enthusiastic interest, with over 20 professors and researchers from diverse faculties expressing their desire to participate.
